The Announcements Card

ALIM Web includes a customizable Announcements card, visible from the Home page, within the Content pane. This card allows system administrators to create timely, in-application announcements for users.

The Announcements card only appears if there are announcements created in your visible Scopes, and the current date is within the Valid from to Valid to date range.

In order to create, update, or delete announcements, your user account must have the following permissions:

Data Maintenance
eB System Settings
Events.

You can also configure your announcements to be Global or scope specific if your deployment has multiple scopes.

Announcements are automatically sorted, based on the following priority sequence:Category, then by Valid From date, and then if necessary, by Create date and time. For categories, red is considered highest priority, green is second highest priority, and blue is third priority. If more than one active announcement has the same color Category, then they are further sorted chronologically, by Valid From dates, and then finally, chronologically by Create date and time, if necessary. The following table depicts some scenarios for sorting announcements.
